Hi! My name is Betsy. I'm an Irish graphic designer, photographer and writer based in Manchester, UK. My skills include book design, editorial layout, illustration, logo design, motion design and photography.

I am the Designer of The Rodeo magazine, a Manchester-based music publication now on its 20th edition. We also created a special-edition magazine for The Brit Awards in Manchester in February 2026.

I have also been taking photos for 10 years. I love taking portraits of the people around me, using it as a way of capturing moments and the people I hold dear to me. In the past decade, I have photographed various musicians and artists, and my photography has been featured in Hot Press, Daily Mirror, Dig With It magazine and Karma magazine.

I believe my experience in graphic design allows me to view photography through a different lens. Composition, colour, depth, movement and feeling are all important to me. I use analogue cameras so that I’m always thinking carefully about the images I’m taking. My favourite images convey nuance and emotional moods. I believe because of my relationship with the people I photograph, I am able to capture a specific feeling.

I am also a keen writer and have had my work featured in the Daily Mirror, Dig With It magazine, various music blogs and have performed my short story at the TALIHA podcast launch night. You can read it here.
